Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Full Story Explained
We Are Exploring Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's entire narrative in detail. Huge thanks go out to Yessoft for giving me early access to this game -- I absolutely recommend it if you enjoy fast-paced, time-bending action with strong narrative arc. Be warned - spoilers ahead.🏰 A New Beginning – The Khusha Invasion
The Lost Crown serves as an all-new prequel to all previous Prince of Persia games and takes place around 1000 CE -- centuries prior to Sands of Time saga. As in previous games, The Lost Crown begins when Khusha Empire under the leadership of General Uvishka attack Persia; seemingly dooming Persia until elite warriors known as Immortals come out fighting back and turn the tables!
Sargon, an eager young warrior from Persia, successfully dethrones Uvishka to save Persia from imminent doom. Impressed with his bravery, Queen Thomyris presented Sargon with the royal cloth worn by Prince Hasan as a token of honor and trust - thus earning himself her gift as well.
⚔️ Rise of Sargon – From Outcast to Immortal
Sargon was not initially an Immortal. After challenging their leader Vahram and being defeated, earning respect from them all, Sargon trained harder under General Anahita until eventually being accepted into their ranks as an Immortal.
Peace was short-lived; Anahita caused shockwaves by kidnapping Prince Hasan and fleeing to Mount Qaf, prompting Queen Aishah to send in her Immortals as part of an elaborate scheme against Anahita -- thus initiating the real drama and mystery!
🌀 Mount Qaf – The Land Lost in Time
Mount Qaf is no ordinary place; its very existence seems cursed with time fractures that distort reality and cause its residents to experience strange symptoms such as already deceased allies who seem decades older when they just arrived; clearly something has gone terribly amiss here.
Sargon sets out on his journey across the mountain aided by Feriba, who gives him access to an Eye of Wanderer map he can use as guidance. Along his travels he meets numerous strange characters like Daima (a potion-master) and an ancient blacksmith goddess that upgrades his gear.
🕊️ The Power of Simurgh
We discover that this world is heavily shaped by Zoroastrian mythology. Simurgh, an orb-wielding god of time and space who once protected Persia has since gone missing; his power - like feathers of Mount Qaf - could help restore equilibrium if only we knew who to contact for assistance!
Sargon defeats an extremely dangerous beast guarding the Citadel and finds Simurgh's feather, unlocking new powers through time travel.
👥 Alternate Timelines & The Truth of Vahram
Sargon begins encountering various versions of himself that have become disoriented due to time loops, eventually defeating one and taking its power for himself. At the same time he confronts Vahram again who shows that his power extends even into altering time and even wiping out Sargon's legacy altogether.
Vahram eventually comes to discover that he is more than an Immortal: he's actually Prince Darius' true son who was betrayed and murdered by Queen Thomyris - this accounts for Vahram's anger and ambition; he believes it to be his rightful place to rule, hoping to use Simurgh as his vessel and transform himself into godhood using Simurgh's heart as power.
💥 Betrayals, Allies, and Sacrifices
Anahita wasn't really acting betrayerly; she simply followed orders from Queen Ariana herself. Other Immortals -- Manolis Rod and Rejhan among them - view Sargon as traitorous. Forced to fight and even kill certain of them as revenge, Sargon must eventually fight and kill some in order to pass along Athra powers that remain even in death.
Sargon also meets an infantile version of Vahram who shows him just how profoundly time has ravaged this mountain and all who inhabit it. He begins to appreciate just how deep its hold has reached into every person on it.
🧩 The Pit of Eternal Sands
Sargon makes his way to the Pit of Eternal Sands where Esfahd, one of Simurgh's Darkstalkers sealed by Simurgh, revealed the cosmic truth: numerous timelines had been constructed with an aim of weakening him over time and Mount Qaf's fractures are testaments of this battle between gods.
After defeating Esfahd and freeing himself of its bonds, Sargon receives four Selatin Arrows which allow him to awaken guardians that restore balance to Vahram's kingdom as well as unearth deep truths about himself and Vahram alike. Along his journey he also discovers insights into himself.
🗝️ The Final Battle – Sargon vs. Vahram
With King Darius' tomb as their stage, Sargon opens the gate leading into the Hall of Divine Flame where their final battle awaits them both. However, Vahram believes only God can rescue Persia from doom; thus absorbing Simurgh's heart into himself thereby shattering reality itself and shattering reality itself in turn.
Simurgh reappears and gives Sargon hope - his final gift - before facing vahram (god of chaos) head on in battle between mortals and gods in the Void.
Vahram ultimately chooses to hand his power over to Sargon and disappear into the void in order to break free from this cycle of violence, freeing Simurgh while simultaneously stabilizing timelines and protecting Persia from further potential catastrophe.
🏛️ The Legacy of a Warrior
Hasan returns to the palace but decides against accepting his title due to having seen first-hand how costly power can be. Sargon remains popular yet has lost nearly all his Immortal Companions such as Manolis, Rejhan, Anahita and even Vahram in their battles against them.
At its heart, true leadership cannot be defined by blood or title alone - rather, courage, sacrifice and hope define those in charge. Sargon becomes unofficial Prince of Persia -- safeguarding an ancient nation in need of his protection.
