The Last of Us 2 PC Performance Test – PS5 Pro Can’t Compete?
The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered Is Finally Here For PC | PC Vs PS5 Pro Performance Test
Sony PlayStation's another exclusive last first part 2 remaster has been released on
PC and reviewers like Digital Foundry had called the game very unoptimized and they
were not at all happy with its performance but when we saw it on the stream, we got
very positive reviews there, seeing which we got confused as to what was the matter
so after getting the review code of the game from Sony, we were finally able to test it
ourselves and in today's video you will get to know the features of this PC port as well
as its performance on high end and mid range GPUs even we will compare it by
playing it on PS5 Pro what difference do we see in visuals and performance keep in
mind that this is not a full review of the game we are only going to talk about PC
features and performance so watch the video till the end so friend the last first part 2
originally came in 2020 that too for PS4 and at the same time it won the hearts of
many people for its brutal gameplay and great visuals but along with its. #Lastofus #LastofUsPart2PC
Story & Characters:
It was also in
a lot of controversy for its emotional story, then in 2024 its remastered version was
launched on PS5 and now finally brother in 2025 its PC port has also come in which
support for high end settings and full customization is available. Talking about the
story, it is set in a post apocalyptic world and this time there are two playable
characters in the game, Ellie and Abby. The story runs from the perspective of both. I
will not give much spoiler, just understand that this game is not just something to
play but a journey to feel. Now that it has come to PC so late, brother it was obvious
that it would bring some extra and special features as well.

PC Exclusive Features:
First of all, unlocked
frame rate, then support for ultrawide monitors as well. Apart from that, there is
support for HDR3 which gives the game a more cinematic feel. There is also full
control of graphic settings, meaning we can customize everything, shadows,
textures, reflections, according to our PC. There is also support for the latest
upscaling tech for performance like DLAs 3. And FSR4 through which we can take
advantage of frame generation and upscaling. There is also support for direct
storage which makes the load times much faster. Talking about controls, you can use
mouse, keyboard or any controller. Even if you have a dual sense controller, its
adaptive triggers and haptics also work. We ourselves have played with both the
brothers, whose experience we will talk about later on stream or epic games.
Trophies and achievements are available on both.
Advanced Upscaling & Performance Tech:
Then the extra features that came
in the remaster edition, like no return mode, in which if you die once, the entire
game restarts. Then along with that, guitar, free play, lost levels, speed run mode
and developer commentary, all of those are also available brother. Plus, there are also unlockable character and weapon skins for Ellie and Abby, like this red jersey of
Inter Galactic, but for this you will not have to log in to PSN. If you have got the
features and the overall basic idea of the game, then brother, let's increase its
performance. Now NVDA's 50 series 4K gaming can be done easily, so we will start
with this, all the settings on RTX 507Ti are maxed out and without turning on frame
generation, we were getting 100 to 120 FPS in open areas and yes, we would have
got more by turning on frame generation, but our display was not natively 4K, it was
just running in duty mode, so by turning on frame generation, there was a lot of
screen tearing, otherwise the game was running very smoothly on speedset without
any other issue, now if someone has the option of frame generation, then why would
he not use it and so after seeing the issue of screen tearing on 4K, we ran it on native
resolution i.e. 2K and played comfortably on it for two-three hours, in this all the
settings were maxed out with the DLSS performance and frame generation on and in
the entire testing, the FPS was going around 200 indoors and the same in outdoors.
Were hovering between 170 to 190, so here also brother we got to see a very smooth
performance, let me remind myself once again that if there was any major issue till
now, we would have mentioned it here
DirectStorage Support – Faster Load Times.
we will talk about the minor problems
later, while I am at it, I will also try running it on one of our old generation laptops i.e.
307T of 30 series and to be honest brother, before making this video, when we saw
the reviews of Digital Foundry etc., it did not seem at all that this laptop would be
able to run the game properly, but surprisingly, in this too, on high settings, without
frame generation, we were getting 70 to 80 fps comfortably at 2K and at the same
time, in open areas, it would go to a maximum of 60, so if you also have a 30 series
car or laptop, then don't worry, you will play comfortably and to get even more fps,
the game can also be played at 1080 then I I am sure that it will cross 100. For those
who don't know, this was the first game for which preference mode was introduced
on PS4 Pro and as you saw that the game is going up to 100 or even 200 FPS on PC,
even PS5 Pro was not able to compare with that performance on which we were
testing simultaneously. Yes, there was almost no difference in experience between
the performance mode of PS5 Pro and PC, but even in 4K of PC, 100 FPS was coming,
whereas the maximum graphical preset of PS5, which is called preference mode, had
FPS capped at 60 and all the power of the device was being used in it because as
soon as we started screen recording, the FPS suddenly dropped to 30, meaning the
gameplay started feeling like 24, but if we do a side by side comparison between the
two, then here are some scenes from which you can get a little idea, let's start with
the character model.
Visual Quality Comparison
he difference in it that the image quality is so much crisper on PC, the same thing we
felt in the cut scenes of the game as well, you will also see the difference in the
drainage of the college and the environment to some extent in this horse riding
scene, if we talk about some action or fight scenes, then both looked equally smooth
and with the dual sense controls, it was as if we were forgetting on which game we
were playing, rest yes, to tell you very plainly, the number of bugs we found in this
entire testing, probably, are there in every game, meaning yes there were one or two
minor things like brother, seeing these visual glitches in the first cut scene, so
brother, we thought that brother it will be fun, we will catch bugs today, but then we
did not find anything, just the intensity and frequency of the haptics of the dual sense
controller that we were getting on PS5, had reduced a lot on PC, that is, we were
feeling it only a little, as soon as we came on PS5 Pro, we remembered that yes
brother Hapix is also a thing, so these were the only two things that we felt worth
telling you.
Final Thoughts on Differences
Now yes, other reviewers like Digital Foundry had tested the game on its
recommended RTX 360, on which they were mainly getting issues, we did testing on
3070Ti and 507Ti, so that's why we did not get any issue in it either. Even we played
it, there was no update in it after two-three days of launch day, so yes, the
optimization does not seem to be as bad as Spiderman 2, that game had troubled us
a lot in this, in comparison to that, The Last Verse Part Two seems to be much more
bold, so this was the overview of the performance of The Last Part Two Remastered
BC the results are in front of you, to understand all the details of the ongoing deal
between ubioft and TS, you can check out the video on the left and recently brother,
you will find the gameplay guide of Monster Hunter Wilds, which sold 10 million, on
the right.
